Republican State Sen. David Argall asked the sixth grader if it was "appropriate to give pornographic magazines to kindergarteners."
Pennsylvania state Sen. Mike Folmer resigned after being charged with possession of child pornography, following an investigation that began when a cyber tip led authorities to his home. The 63-year-old Republican senator, who had served since 2007, was found with images of prepubescent girls on his computer and phone. Folmer, who chaired the Senate's State Government Committee, expressed shock and devastation over the charges, stating he would seek mental health treatment. His resignation came after he initially resisted calls to step down, but he eventually did so to focus on his legal defense and personal well-being.
