The European Club Association (ECA) has proposed to UEFA that 5% of the revenue from European competitions be allocated to clubs that nurture and develop young players, as discussed during a meeting in Budapest. This proposal aims to financially reward clubs for their investment in youth development, with the funds potentially coming from the existing solidarity payment system. ECA chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi emphasized the importance of recognizing clubs' efforts in player development, suggesting that this initiative could enhance the overall quality and competitiveness of European football.
