Dick Button, the pioneering figure skater who won Olympic gold medals in 1948 and 1952, passed away at the age of 95. Known for revolutionizing the sport with his athleticism and technical prowess, Button was the first to land a double Axel in competition and later a triple loop. Beyond his competitive achievements, he became a beloved television commentator, bringing figure skating to a broader audience with his insightful and often humorous commentary for over 40 years.
