Alysa Liu tops Prevagen U.S. Championships short program in figure skating comeback

Alysa Liu, a two-time U.S. champion, made a notable comeback in figure skating by leading the short program at the Prevagen U.S. Championships in Columbus, Ohio. Liu, who had taken a break from competitive skating to focus on her education, returned with a performance that earned her a score of 73.63 points, showcasing a triple axel and a combination of a triple lutz and triple toe loop. Her score placed her ahead of Isabeau Levito, who scored 72.05, and Amber Glenn, who scored 71.38. Liu's return was marked by her determination to prove herself again in the sport, expressing her desire to "show the world that I'm back."
