Men's One-Day Cup named the Dean Jones Trophy

The Men's One-Day Cup, a domestic cricket competition in England and Wales, has been renamed the Dean Jones Trophy in honor of the late Australian cricketer Dean Jones. This renaming was announced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to celebrate Jones' contributions to cricket, particularly his memorable performances in England, including his famous 210 at Lord's in 1986. The competition, which features 18 first-class counties and two guest teams, will now carry Jones' name as a tribute to his legacy, following his sudden death in 2020.
