Auradou and Jegou back for France after rape allegations dismissed
- France's Hugo Auradou and Oscar Jegou, who were the subject of rape allegations last summer, are set to take part in the Six Nations after being named in a 42-man squad on Wednesday which also features halfbacks Antoine Dupont and Romain Ntamack.
Hugo Auradou and Oscar Jegou have been reinstated to the French rugby team after allegations of rape against them were dismissed by Argentine prosecutors. The incident reportedly occurred after a match in Mendoza, Argentina, where the French team had played. The allegations were made by a woman who claimed she was raped by two French players. However, the case was dismissed due to insufficient evidence, as confirmed by the Mendoza prosecutor's office. The French Rugby Federation (FFR) expressed relief at the decision, stating that the players could now return to the team, although they would not be available for the upcoming match against Scotland due to the ongoing investigation in France. The FFR also mentioned that the players would receive psychological support to help them cope with the ordeal.
