  • Former big league right-hander Tyler Cyr has informed MLB Trade Rumors that he has decided to retire. "After much reflection, I am officially announcing my retirement from Major League Baseball," Cyr said in his announcement.

Blake Treinen, a former relief pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers, has announced his retirement from Major League Baseball. Treinen, who was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in 2011, spent six seasons with the A's before joining the Dodgers in 2019. Over his career, he compiled a 3.81 ERA with 36 saves and 456 strikeouts in 443.2 innings pitched. His decision to retire comes after a series of injuries, including a shoulder injury in 2022 and a lung issue in 2023, which significantly impacted his playing time. Treinen expressed gratitude for his time in the majors and looks forward to spending more time with his family.
