Amber Glenn repeated as figure skating champion at nationals, narrowly defeating Alysa Liu by just over a point Friday night.
Amber Glenn won the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Columbus, Ohio, narrowly defeating Alysa Liu in a closely contested women's free skate event. Glenn, who had been in second place after the short program, delivered a strong performance to secure her first national title with a total score of 210.46. Liu, the defending champion, finished just behind with 209.38 points after a fall on her triple axel attempt. Isabeau Levito, who led after the short program, dropped to third place with a score of 200.68 following several mistakes in her free skate.
