Mikaela Shiffrin, the American alpine skiing star, achieved a historic milestone by securing her 100th World Cup victory in a slalom race in Are, Sweden. This win not only broke the previous record of 82 victories held by Ingemar Stenmark but also highlighted Shiffrin's dominance in the sport. She finished the race with a significant lead, 0.92 seconds ahead of Switzerland's Wendy Holdener, and 1.33 seconds ahead of Sweden's Anna Swenn Larsson.
