The Colorado Mesa University men's lacrosse team has qualified for the NCAA Division II Tournament for the first time in the program's history, securing the No. 8 seed in the South Central Region. They are set to face off against the top-seeded Colorado State University-Pueblo in the regional semifinals on May 5, 2023, at the CSU-Pueblo Soccer/Lacrosse Stadium. The team, led by head coach Jeff Spring, finished the regular season with a 10-6 record and won the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Tournament, defeating the University of Colorado Colorado Springs in the final. This historic achievement marks a significant milestone for the Mavericks, who are eager to compete on the national stage.
