Frimpong 'different profile' to Bradley - but 'competition will bring best out'

Jeremie Frimpong, a 22-year-old Dutch right-back from Bayer Leverkusen, has joined the U.S. men's national soccer team, bringing a different profile compared to the team's current right-back, Sergiño Dest. U.S. coach Gregg Berhalter sees Frimpong's addition as an opportunity to foster competition and elevate performance within the squad. Frimpong, who has Ghanaian roots and was eligible to represent the Netherlands, Ghana, or England, chose the U.S. due to his birthplace in New York. His style is described as more attacking than Dest's, and Berhalter believes this competition will push both players to improve. Frimpong is excited about the prospect of playing for the U.S. and aims to contribute to the team's success in upcoming tournaments.
