Rock Ridge softball stays hot, defeating Cloquet in Section 7AAA quarterfinals

Rock Ridge softball will keep advancing in the winner's bracket of the Section 7AAA tournament after taking down Cloquet in the quarterfinal round on Thursday.
The Rock Ridge softball team continued their impressive performance by defeating Cloquet 10-0 in the Section 7AAA quarterfinals. The game, held at Braun Park in Cloquet, saw Rock Ridge's pitcher, Emma Lamppa, dominate with a one-hit shutout, striking out 10 batters. The Wolverines scored early and often, with significant contributions from players like Anna Westby, who hit a two-run homer, and Kyra Skelton, who added a two-run double. Rock Ridge's strong offensive and defensive play has propelled them into the semifinals, where they will face Hermantown.
