  • Hot shooting lifted the Anderson University women's basketball team past Franklin 91-86 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference competition Wednesday at O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.

The Anderson University women's basketball team secured their first Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) victory of the season with a strong performance against Franklin, winning 80-65. The game, held at O.C. Lewis Gymnasium, saw Anderson shooting an impressive 53.8% from the field. Key contributors included sophomore guard Lexi Dellinger, who scored 18 points, and senior guard Brooke Sargent, who added 17 points. The team's success was also bolstered by a significant rebounding advantage, outrebounding Franklin 39-27, with junior forward Kenley Taylor grabbing 10 rebounds. This win improved Anderson's record to 5-10 overall and 1-4 in the HCAC, showcasing a marked improvement in their shooting and overall game strategy.
