In the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, rookie driver Liam Lawson faced a setback due to a pit stop error by his AlphaTauri team, which dropped him from a potential points-scoring position to 17th place. Despite this, Lawson managed to finish the race in 14th. Meanwhile, McLaren secured the fourth position in the constructors' championship, thanks to Lando Norris finishing fifth and Oscar Piastri coming in sixth. This result was crucial for McLaren, as it meant they outperformed Aston Martin, who had been their closest rivals for the spot. The race was also notable for Max Verstappen clinching his 19th victory of the season, further solidifying his dominance in Formula 1.
