  Mid Annandale: The schedule for the show in 2026 continues to be discussed and entries for the Federation Show is progressing. The Federation Spring Walk will be held at Eskrigg Nature Reserve on May 31. Royal Four Towns SWI held a lovely centenary celebration and the centenary dinner for Applegarth & Sibbaldbie SWI is coming up.


The Dumfriesshire SWI Federation's annual meeting at the Cairndale Hotel in Dumfries highlighted the group's activities and achievements over the past year. The event featured a talk by guest speaker Dr. Fiona Dougherty on the history of the Dumfries and Galloway Canine Rescue Centre, which was well-received by attendees. The meeting also recognized the contributions of various SWI groups, with the Lockerbie SWI receiving the Federation Cup for their outstanding efforts. Additionally, the Dumfries SWI was awarded the Rose Bowl for their impressive display of handicrafts, and the Penpont SWI won the trophy for the best singing performance. The meeting concluded with discussions on future events and the importance of community involvement, emphasizing the federation's commitment to fostering local talent and community spirit.
