The FIFA World Cup hosts for 2030 and 2034 have been confirmed. Saudi Arabia has been awarded the hosting rights for the 2034 tournament, marking a significant event as it will be the first time the country hosts the World Cup. Meanwhile, Spain, Portugal, and Morocco will jointly host the centenary 2030 World Cup, with the unique addition of opening matches in Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay to celebrate the tournament's 100th anniversary. This decision was influenced by FIFA's desire to honor the historical significance of the World Cup, which first took place in Uruguay in 1930. The 2030 tournament will also see a return to the Americas, with Morocco becoming the second African nation to host after South Africa in 2010.
