Hansi Flick, the newly appointed coach of Barcelona, has identified the right-back position as a weak spot in the team's lineup and is keen on reinforcing it. Despite having players like Jules Kounde and Sergi Roberto who can fill in, Flick believes a specialized right-back is necessary. He has reportedly set his sights on Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong, who has had an impressive season with 14 goals and 12 assists. However, acquiring Frimpong could be challenging due to his €40 million release clause and interest from other top clubs like Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and Liverpool. Additionally, Barcelona's financial situation might complicate the transfer, but Flick is determined to address this positional need.
