PU inter-college cricket tourney kicks off at SCD College

  • The tournament's first match saw a dominant performance by the SCD Government College team against Gurusar Sudhar College.

The Punjab University Inter-College Cricket Tournament commenced at SCD Government College in Ludhiana, with the opening match between SCD Government College and Arya College. SCD Government College won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 160 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Notable performances included a half-century by SCD's opener, Anmoljeet Singh, who scored 52 runs, and a quick 30 runs by Sahil Sharma. In response, Arya College managed only 102 runs, with SCD's bowlers, particularly Sahil Sharma and Harshit Takkar, taking 3 wickets each, leading to a 58-run victory for SCD Government College. The tournament, which includes 16 teams, is set to continue with matches scheduled for the following days.
