The West Virginia University track and field team concluded their participation at the Nittany Lion Challenge hosted by Penn State University. The event, which took place over the weekend, saw several standout performances from the WVU athletes. Junior Ceili McCabe set a new school record in the women's 3000-meter run with a time of 9:03.75, earning her the top spot in the event. On the men's side, sophomore Tomas Kersulis achieved a personal best in the 800-meter run, finishing with a time of 1:49.56, which ranks him third in WVU history for that event. Additionally, the team saw strong showings in various other events, including the 400-meter dash, long jump, and pole vault, with athletes either setting personal records or placing well in their respective competitions. The performances at this meet continue to build momentum for the team as they prepare for upcoming events in the season.
