  • Chelsea and Arsenal both enjoyed 5-0 wins and Manchester City slumped to a 4-2 derby defeat to Manchester United.

The Women's Super League (WSL) saw Manchester United secure a thrilling 2-1 victory over Manchester City, with Lucia Garcia scoring the winning goal in the 91st minute. This win was crucial for United, who are now just two points behind league leaders Chelsea. Chelsea maintained their position at the top with a 3-1 win against Brighton, thanks to goals from Guro Reiten, Jess Carter, and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd. Arsenal also kept pace, defeating Aston Villa 3-1 with goals from Frida Maanum, Katie McCabe, and Lotte Wubben-Moy, despite a late consolation goal from Villa's Ebony Salmon. Meanwhile, Tottenham's game against Leicester was postponed due to a frozen pitch, and Everton's match against Liverpool was also called off for the same reason.
