  • Varsity Brands confirmed that the organization made the decision before Saturday's incident due to planned construction at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.

The NCA All-Star National Championship, a premier event for cheerleading and dance teams, is relocating from Dallas to Houston after 30 years. This move to the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston is set for February 29 to March 3, 2024, and is expected to bring over 10,000 athletes and 20,000 spectators, significantly boosting the local economy. The event, which has been a staple in the cheerleading community, will now offer participants and visitors a chance to explore Houston's attractions like the Houston Zoo, Space Center Houston, and the Museum District. The relocation aims to provide a fresh experience while continuing to celebrate the spirit and athleticism of cheerleading and dance.
