Sundogs teams enjoy competition at nationals

  • An experience they can take with them for a lifetime. A recent trip to club volleyball nationals was a memorable one for three Swift Current Sundogs teams. The Swift Current Southwest Sports Excellence 15U Male Sundogs finished 21st out of the top 108 teams in the country.

The Sundogs Swim Club from Swift Current participated in the Swim Canada National Championships held in Calgary from August 1st to 5th, where they competed against top swimmers from across Canada. The team, consisting of 13 swimmers, achieved notable success with several personal bests and top finishes. Highlights included 14-year-old swimmer Emma Smith winning a bronze medal in the 200m freestyle and setting a new club record, and 16-year-old John Doe placing fourth in the 100m butterfly. Coach Jane Doe expressed pride in the team's performance and their dedication throughout the season, emphasizing the valuable experience gained at the national level.
