Kylie Masse made Canadian swimming history at the World Aquatics Short Course Championships in Doha, Qatar, by becoming the first Canadian woman to win a medal in the 100-meter backstroke at this event. She secured a bronze medal with a time of 56.09 seconds, finishing behind Australia's Kaylee McKeown, who set a world record, and American Claire Curzan. This achievement adds to Masse's impressive record, which includes being a three-time Olympic medalist and holding multiple world championship titles in long course swimming.
