The Yorktown wrestling team achieved a perfect 5-0 record at the Capital Duals competition held at South County High School. They defeated teams from South County, Westfield, and other schools, showcasing their dominance in the tournament. Key victories included a 42-30 win over South County, a 42-36 win against Westfield, and a 48-30 win against Oakton. The team's success was highlighted by the performances of wrestlers like senior captain Ben Lahlou, who secured a crucial pin against Westfield, and freshman sensation Alex Seidman, who contributed significantly with his wins. Coach Craig Decker praised the team's effort and spirit, noting their resilience and teamwork as pivotal to their success.
