Wake Forest lets go of women's volleyball coach after six seasons

  • Wake Forest has fired women's volleyball coach Randi Smart after six seasons. The school made the announcement on Sunday morning. John Currie, the athletics director at Wake Forest, announced the move in his From the Quad newsletter to alumni and fans.

Ferguson, who had been with the team since 2018, led the Demon Deacons to a 46-113 overall record. The university expressed gratitude for his service and wished him well in his future endeavors. Wake Forest will now begin a national search for a new head coach to lead the volleyball program.
