In the Spanish Super Cup final held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Barcelona clinched a thrilling 5-2 victory over Real Madrid despite playing with only 10 men for most of the match. The game saw Barcelona take an early lead with a goal from Robert Lewandowski, but Real Madrid quickly equalized through Vinicius Jr. and then took the lead with a goal from Rodrygo. However, Barcelona fought back with Gavi scoring to level the score before halftime. The turning point came when Barcelona's Ronald Araujo was sent off, reducing his team to ten players. Despite this disadvantage, Barcelona's resilience shone through as they scored three more times in the second half through Gavi, Lewandowski, and Pedri, while Real Madrid managed one more goal from Karim Benzema. This victory not only showcased Barcelona's tactical acumen and spirit but also marked their first trophy under coach Xavi Hernandez.
