The NFL is reportedly set to expand its replay assist program to include the review of quarterback slides, according to a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter. This change aims to enhance the accuracy of officiating by allowing officials to use video replays to determine the exact moment a quarterback begins to slide, which is crucial for spotting the ball correctly. This addition to the replay assist system, which already covers aspects like fourth-down conversions and turnovers, is part of the NFL's ongoing efforts to improve game integrity and reduce human error in critical game situations. The proposal for this expansion will be presented at the NFL's annual league meeting in March.
