Striker Marcus Rashford scored twice as Aston Villa defeated Championship side Preston North End 3-0 in their FA Cup quarter-final at Deepdale on Sunday to stay on course to win the world's oldest national competition for the first time in 68 years.

Marcus Rashford scored twice to lead Manchester United to a 3-1 victory over Aston Villa in the FA Cup quarter-finals on March 30, 2025. Rashford opened the scoring with a fine finish in the 35th minute, but Aston Villa equalized through Ollie Watkins just before halftime. The game turned in United's favor when Rashford scored his second goal from a penalty kick in the 65th minute after a handball by Villa's Ezri Konsa. The match was sealed when substitute Alejandro Garnacho added a third goal in stoppage time, securing Manchester United's place in the semi-finals where they will face Coventry City.
