Lisa Peterson returning to Oregon athletics as deputy athletic director
- Currently the vice president for Olympic competition for the Big 12 Conference, Peterson served at UO from 2011-22
Lisa Peterson is returning to the University of Oregon as the deputy athletic director, a role she will assume starting February 1, 2025. Previously, Peterson served as Oregon's executive senior associate athletic director from 2013 to 2018, where she was instrumental in the development of the university's athletic facilities, including the expansion of Autzen Stadium and the construction of the Hatfield-Dowlin Complex. Her return comes after a stint at the University of Southern California, where she was the senior deputy athletic director. In her new position at Oregon, she will oversee external operations, which includes managing marketing, ticket sales, and fan engagement, aiming to enhance the fan experience and support the athletic department's strategic goals. Peterson's extensive experience in college athletics administration is expected to significantly contribute to Oregon's ongoing success and development in sports.
