Stellenbosch FC has made history by becoming the first South African team to win a match in the CAF Confederation Cup, defeating Cameroon's Stade Renard 3-1 in their preliminary round first leg match. This victory marks a significant milestone for the club, which is participating in its first-ever CAF interclub competition. The goals were scored by Anicet Oura, Andre de Jong, and Mervin Boji, with the latter two goals coming in the second half to secure the win. This achievement not only highlights Stellenbosch FC's growing prowess on the continental stage but also adds a new chapter to South African football history.
