Siena softball advances to the MAAC Championship game

The No. 2 seed Siena softball team took down No. 2 Fairfield 6-5 and No. 6 seed Rider 1-0 to advance to its second-consecutive MAAC Championship game. The Saints will face top seed Marist Sunday at 9am in Poughkeepsie.
The Siena softball team advanced to the MAAC Championship game after defeating Niagara 3-2 in a thrilling semifinal match. The game was highlighted by a crucial two-run homer by senior catcher Jordan Golson in the sixth inning, which broke a 1-1 tie. Junior pitcher Allison L'Amoreaux delivered a strong performance, striking out seven batters and allowing only two runs over seven innings. Siena will now face top-seeded Fairfield in the championship game, seeking their first MAAC title since 2015.
