A22 Sports Management have formally submitted a new proposal to UEFA and FIFA for a 'cross-border pan-European' competition called the Unify League, three years on from the failed European Super League project.

The organizers of the European Super League have submitted a new proposal to UEFA, aiming to establish a competition that would run parallel to existing domestic leagues. This new plan, which has been sent to various stakeholders including the European Club Association, FIFA, and national associations, seeks to address the criticisms and legal challenges faced by the original Super League proposal in 2021. The proposal outlines a multi-divisional format with 60 to 80 teams, ensuring that clubs participate based on sporting merit rather than a closed system. It also promises greater financial distribution to clubs outside the competition and emphasizes the need for dialogue with UEFA to find a cooperative solution, while hinting at potential legal action if an agreement isn't reached. This move comes amidst ongoing tensions and legal battles between the Super League proponents and UEFA, with the latter having previously blocked the initial Super League attempt.
