  • USA Fencing board members held a special meeting Saturday where they voted against several motions that addressed current hot button issues in the nation.

The USA Fencing Board of Directors recently voted against several motions addressing contentious issues within the sport. Key among these was the rejection of a proposal to establish an all-female task force to review the organization's transgender policy, which has been a point of contention especially following the participation of transgender athletes in women's fencing events. These decisions have sparked debate and dissatisfaction among some members of the fencing community, particularly those advocating for changes to ensure fairness and safety in women's sports.
