  • The St. John Vianney High School wrestling team showed off its power Saturday with six champions and a team title in the Shore Conference Tournament.

The St. John Vianney wrestling team made a significant impact at the Shore Conference Tournament (SCT) by securing six individual champions and clinching the team title. The event took place at Middletown South High School, where the Lancers demonstrated their dominance. Key victories included Patrick O'Keefe at 106 pounds, who won by a 10-2 major decision, and Anthony Knox at 113 pounds, who secured a 10-4 decision. Other champions from St. John Vianney were AJ Falcone at 120 pounds, who won by a 10-2 major decision, and the team's standout, Jasiah Queen, who won at 157 pounds with a 17-2 technical fall. The team's success was further highlighted by the performances of Giovanni Scafidi at 132 pounds and Jake Zaltsman at 144 pounds, both winning by decision. This collective effort not only showcased the depth and talent of the St. John Vianney squad but also solidified their standing in the Shore Conference wrestling scene.
