Richard Childress Racing Announces 2025 NASCAR Expansion And Huge Crew Changes
Published on 2024-12-09 14:45:29 - Newsweek
- Richard Childress Racing is set to introduce huge changes as it eyes an expansion in its NASCAR Cup Series operations for 2025. RCR plans to debut a part-time third car, although the identities of the drivers and the specific events this new car will participate in remain undisclosed.
Richard Childress Racing (RCR) has announced significant changes for the 2025 NASCAR season, including an expansion to a three-car team in the Cup Series. The team will see Austin Dillon continue to drive the No. 3 Chevrolet, while Kyle Busch, who joined RCR in 2023, will remain in the No. 8 car. The expansion includes the addition of a third car, with speculation that it might be driven by either Jesse Love or Austin Hill, both of whom have been performing well in the Xfinity Series. Additionally, RCR has made several crew chief changes: Keith Rodden will now lead Busch's team, Justin Alexander will work with Dillon, and Joel Keller will oversee the No. 2 Chevrolet in the Xfinity Series. These moves are part of RCR's strategy to enhance performance and competitiveness in the upcoming season.
