The TGL, a new golf league spearheaded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, is set to launch its inaugural season in January 2025 at the SoFi Center in Jupiter, Florida. This innovative league combines technology with traditional golf, featuring a custom-built arena with a massive screen for virtual play and a dynamic short-game area. The league will consist of six teams of three PGA Tour players each, competing in match play formats on Monday nights. The season will include 15 regular-season matches followed by playoffs, with each match lasting two hours. The SoFi Center, designed to seat 1,500 to 2,000 fans, aims to provide an intimate and engaging experience, with players mic'd up for added interaction. The league has already secured significant investment and media rights deals, promising a unique blend of live action and technology to attract a new audience to golf.
