Five-year-old Monty, winner of the Working Group three straight years, was named Best in Show at the 149th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Garden in New York on Tuesday.

Monty, a Giant Schnauzer, was crowned Best in Show at the 148th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City. This victory marked the first time a Giant Schnauzer has won this prestigious title in the event's history. Monty, handled by Katie, and co-owned by Sandra Middlebrooks, along with her husband, daughter, and breeder, impressed the judges with his performance in the final ring. The competition saw over 2,500 dogs from 210 breeds and varieties, showcasing the diversity and excellence in canine breeding and training. Monty's win was celebrated as a significant achievement, highlighting the breed's capabilities and the dedication of his owners and handlers.
