Beau Greaves successfully defended her title at the WDF Women's World Darts Championship for the third consecutive year, defeating Aileen de Graaf 4-1 in the final held at Lakeside. Greaves, who has been dominant in the women's game, expressed her desire to continue playing in both women's and mixed events, aiming to compete in the PDC World Championship. Meanwhile, in the men's event, 70-year-old Paul Lim, known for his historic nine-darter in 1990, was set to face either Andy Baetens or Chris Landman in the final, seeking a fairytale victory. Lim's journey to the final included a notable semi-final win against Thibault Tricole, showcasing his enduring skill and determination in the sport.
