  • Pole vaulter Armand Duplantis set a new meet record on his return from a winter break by jumping 6.10 meters at the ISTAF Indoor meet in Berlin on Friday.

Mondo Duplantis, the world record holder in pole vaulting, set a new meet record at the ISTAF Indoor in Berlin by clearing 6.06 meters. This performance not only surpassed the previous meet record of 6.01 meters set by Tim Lobinger in 1999 but also marked Duplantis's 67th clearance over six meters. Despite his success, Duplantis expressed disappointment for not achieving a higher mark, as he attempted but failed to clear 6.15 meters. His achievement in Berlin adds to his impressive track record, having already set the world record at 6.23 meters.
