The BBC has secured exclusive UK radio rights for Formula 1, with coverage set to be broadcast on BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds starting from the 2025 season through to 2027. This deal ensures that fans can listen to live commentary of every race, including practice sessions and qualifying, for free. The coverage will be led by experienced commentators Jennie Gow and Harry Benjamin, with contributions from former F1 driver Jolyon Palmer and other expert analysts. This move reaffirms the BBC's commitment to providing comprehensive sports coverage, enhancing its portfolio which already includes major events like the Olympics and Wimbledon.
